Boost compatibility adds versatility to the Ibis Mojo HD3 148mm

Following on from the news of the brand new Mojo 3, Nor-Cal bike brand Ibis Cycles have now released a new Boost 148mm compatible rear end for their 150mm travel enduro bike the HD3.

HD3 148mm

The new Ibis Mojo HD3 148mm with Schwalbe 2.8in tyres – badass!

With the addition of Plus Size tyre capability, you can build the HD3 148mm in three ways that will accommodate totally different conditions and styles of riding –  all with a single set of wheels.

Ibis Mojo HD3 148mm with 2.8in Schwalbe tyre installed on the Ibis 741 rims.

If XC or light trail bike duty is what you’re after, a nice light set of 2.3” tyres will turn this beast into a svelte shredder.
If you ride in mud a lot, 2.3 mud spikes will fit with gobs of clearance. Perfect for UK rippers!

If you who just want to point the HD3 148mm straight downhill or if you ride in very rough and rocky conditions, fit some 2.5s with good sidewall protection and hold on tight. The brand new Wide Trail (WT) Maxxis Minions are an ideal match for the 35mm internal width Ibis 741 carbon rims.

And finally, the new kids on the block, equally confidence inspiring for beginner and expert alike, the 2.8” Plus tires from both Maxxis and Schwalbe offer levels of grip apparently never seen this side of Velcro.

Included in the kit are wider 148mm spec DW Links, and adaptors to space both your current wheels and your disc rotors out to the wider stance of the HD3 148mm back end.

These are the full details:

  1. New 148mm Hexle
  2. Boost lower link
  3. Boost lower link rear shaft hardware
  4. Boost compatible front derailleur mount
  5. Retrofit kits will ship in April, are available to backorder from our online store now
  6. UK MSRP is £699
