Race Face Love Handles – thin tacky grips with a cheeky name
Sounding more like something you might get in Ann Summers, the Race Face Love Handles are lock on handlebar grips with a thin profile and a dual pattern design.
Race Face Love Handles are lock on grips made from soft and tacky silicon rubber. The dual pattern design helps provide comfort and grip.
The Detail
Using a lock-on style design, the Race Face Love Handle grips have clamping collars at both ends, and have an end plug that snaps in to place on the outer collar.
With a 28-30mm thick profile, the Race Face Love Handles have a nice thin feel to them, and use a dual pattern design. On the top are ribs to provide grip and cushioning, and on the underside a knurled diamond pattern for gripping with your fingers. The grip is largest in the centre, fitting comfortably in to your hand, and there are slight flanges at either end – keeping your hand firmly in place.
The rubber itself is a super tacky silicon rubber which feels very grippy with or without gloves. There are seven colours in the range – including black, though I quite like the purple option.
We Say
The Race Face Love Handle grips have a shape that I probably wouldn’t normally choose due to the fact I like to move my hands around on the grips, and often hang off the end of the bars. However, the contoured shape holds your hand in place really well. In wet and muddy conditions when your hands can slide around on the grips, they help reduce fatigue as you don’t have to use a death grip to stop your hands sliding off the bars.
The lock-on concept is proven, and the Race Face Love Handle grips are made from comfortable, tacky rubber. Nice feeling grips. Slightly kinky name and look.
