Pikes Peak enduro platform
Rose Bikes has just unveiled a prototype frame called the Pikes Peak which features up to 160mm of travel, modernised longer geometry and an adjustable shock mounting system that allows for a both head angle and bottom bracket alterations – and also adjusting the progressivity of the suspension action.
Although we didn’t get to ride the prototype, we tried out the PROGEO feature which works really well – there is a noticeable difference in suspension feel as well as some suitable geometry adjustments.
The production Rose Pikes Peak bike will be made from high-end carbon fibre – and is set to be unveiled at Euro Bike – but the geometry and features are as follows:
- All Mountain model features 150mm travel
- Enduro model features 160mm travel
- Production frame will be made from high-end carbon fibre
- Rear end will be BOOST compatible
- Modernised geometry based around a 30-40mm stem as standard
- 66.5/65.5degree head angle on the Enduro model
- 67/66degree head angle on the All Mountain model
- Progressive suspension design
- Unique PROGEO adjustable geometry feature
- PROGEO system allows adjustment without removal of any parts
As well as the Pikes Peak prototype, Rose showed us a full range of the new refined bikes. We have a full gallery to come so keep an eye out on our Facebook page.
