Eurobike: Giro & Five Ten – New Colours and Fresh Rubber All Around!
September 6th, 2012
By Factory Jackson in Tech

No big changes for Giro’s off road range in 2013, just a fresh lick of well thought out colours and designs across the board including this rather tasty white number with a green strap and an all green and blue effort available on their simply awesome Feature helmet – full review in the works! The Feature is certainly a helmet I keep seeing more and more of on the trails and after a few rides in it I’m beginning to see why.

I really like the lack of wacky designs and bold colours on trail lids right now – are we getting a little closer to the ski/ board brigade now? Who cares, MTB thrives off other sports and in all honesty, we need to take a little step in this direction in all honesty.
Giro’s Feature helmet is their top of the line skate style lid and also the helmet of choice for TLD’s Brandon Semenuk, so they must be good? The solid use of good colours and well thought out position and choice of logos and graphics runs across the range.
Five Ten – Who doesn’t love a bit of Five Ten? With all the shoe testing this year I feel I’ve neglected the brand that got the ball rolling and helped define a riding style that will always kick clips in the nuts when it comes to the fun factor! 2013 is all about refinement in the aesthetics department with some new colours and also a tasty new sole design. What I was really looking forward to seeing and showing you guys were the new Danny Hart and Sam Hill signature shoes, which I know some of us have seen – you can’t bloody miss Danny’s, but they were missing? I did ask and got a smile and a shrug of the shoulders in return. This ‘industry’ body language when translated, means “yes they exist and no, I can’t say anything”. Typical…
These are new though! This is the sole of the all new for 2013 Freerider VXi which is designed to address any of the issues which are raised from too much grip and loosing the ability to adjust your foot position on the pedal.

Can’t wait to give these a whirl!
No massive changes for 2013, but a good array of new colours across the range including the best choices ever for their all conquering Freerider, especially the black and red offering, oh and the cyan and black and the… You get the picture.
