The coolest stuff from day 2
Eurobike is the biggest cycling show there is. There are 12 halls and 2 outdoor areas – each hall is the size of your average bike show, and is crammed full of exciting bikes, componentry, clothing and European types in horrendous attire.
Here’s a bunch of the coolest stuff we found at Eurobike 2015 day 2…
Evoc are making some really cool essentials for mountain biking, including a cool first aid kit that’s fully waterproof …
Evoc have a Danny MacAskill range of luggage – looking subtle and tough. Kind of like the Scotsman himself.
Source were showing off a cool bum bag that uses a webbing harness to keep it in place – much like military kit. We’ve seen a similar design from Wingnut in the past which has been very effective.
Ion were showing off some great kit, like this riding pack with a unique system to eep the bag off your back. Army green seemed to be colour of the moment too..
The Yeti SB4.5c – such a classy looking machine.
More army green from Ion – this time with some slim line knee pads
Mavic’s awesome trail shoes now come in eye searing colour ways. Loud colours are very much back in the game!
Pyga’s Stage 29er looked like a high speed weapon. We really like what the South African company are doing…
BMC really do the trail 29er thing right – the Trailfox is a stunner!
It’s well known that I’m a sucker for Mondraker bikes, and this Crafty is hot property. Whilst others can see this as a 27.5+ size bike, all I can see is a a 29in Enduro weapon right here!
The Rocky Mountain Maiden is one tough cookie. The rear end uses massive bearings and uses a common cassette tool to tighten them.
Back to the old skool! The Rocky Mountain Sherpa was enough for our daily retro fix!
The Instinct in lurid green was the loudest looking bike on the Rocky Mountain stand…
Nino Schurter always has the trickest looking XC bikes
Brendan Faircloughs orange camo Scott Gambler was on display and looked rad!
No comment. Literally.
Nicolai custom gearbox belt drive hard tail with a Chris Porter style head angle…
Looks like the Mojo Nicolai Geometron proved so popular that Nicolai now make some thing very similar themselves…
BMW. Gearbox. Belt drive.
Transition kids bike. So much yes!
An Orange in Yeti’s clothing…
Maxxis Minion semi-slick is finally here!
New Crank Brothers double sided pedals…
Crank Brothers now make a flat pedal in two sizes for different sized feet. Smart thinking.
The new Crank Brothers Mallet, complete with rubber spacers in different sizes to make the shoe contact the way you want it. Neat.
Five Ten have gone in a bright colourways, and lace covers.
Crank Brothers have a cool shifter for their seat post, on a ball socket mount
Crank Brothers have a new seat post out. Take three!
This shoe from OWN (Only What’s Neccesary) is the single best thing we’ve seen at Eurobike. More details to follow in an extended feature soon.
The OWN shoe shoe comes with two booties – one for wet weather, and one for warmer weather.
The bootie liner has a d30 sole to reduce fatigue
The new Nukeproof Pulse frame has lost an incredible 2.5kg – crazy! This is the team build and it retails for £5000
The most talked about bike of the show was the 27.5in wheeled Evil Insurgent. Such a killer bike!
What do you think of the gear we spotted on day two? There’s more content to come, in more detail soon!
