Easton Heist 30mm 650b wheels

Easton has gone for wider rims on these sturdier new trail wheels – designed for bikes with up to 160mm of travel.
The new Heist in either flavour of 24, 27 or 30mm internal rim widths, is right on-trend and price point. They will suit more aggressive riders as the rim width supports the tyre better than narrower rims. This in turn allows far lower tyre pressure for increased traction, but with reduced tyre roll. They are laced up 3-cross with double butted black spokes around a centrelock X5 CL hub which easily converts to various axle configurations and accepts both the XD type and conventional cassette body.
The rim itself doesn’t have a sealed rim bed like the Haven wheel, but is supplied with tubeless type valves and has tubeless rim strips on as standard.

The coverage is more like wearing a pair of goggles than glasses – and the lens quality is the usual incredible Oakley quality. We’ve already been using them a lot, and so far rate them as one of the very best sets of glasses a cyclist can own.

This awesome riding pack can carry enough for a major ride, and a full size SLR along with enough gear to capture your ride.
We managed to fit in a long 80-200mm lens, a body with a 24-70 and had room for a wide angle or similar, plus flashes, memory cards etc. For days when you don’t need a full size camera pack – this has got to be the perfect choice.

This is the awesome looking M2 helmet from Seven Protection, which is designed to be as light and cool as possible, but offer maximum head protection and a secure fit.
There are three sizes, 19 vents and a really nice dial on the rear cradle for easy adjustment – and a whole host of colours, including some safer plain colours. But we love the rowdy orange and yellow lid they sent us – you’ll definitely see us coming!
