SRAM: New Design X0, X9 & X7 Shifters, Plus X7 Goes Type 2

May 23rd, 2013

It’s all go at Sram with new forks, BlackBox bars, carbon wheels and now these little beauties, which when combined with some other ‘trickle-down’ components, in the form of Avid’s new Trail brakes, we’ll be looking at some rad 2014 bikes and at great prices.

The addition of the Type 2 design into the X7 range is by far the stand out component, and for anyone who hasn’t tried one out yet, we strongly recommend you do. We’ve had an X0 Type 2 now for over half a year and it has literally changed the bike it adorns. Check the review out Screen Shot 2013-05-23 at 16.47.16

TYPE 2 – The same rear derailleur technology as 2×10 X0 and X9 drivetrains, has now arrived for SRAM X7. Time to take chain control to the next level…

The versatile, highly capable X7 product family brings high-end precision and reliability to midrange mountain bike components. Unbeatable X-GLIDE shifting teamed up with ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH and CAGE LOCK technologies boost your confidence in all types of terrain, from your local trails to the most challenging backcountry singletrack. Prepare yourself for the ride ahead.
