With the first round of the Enduro World Series kicking off this week end in Punta Ala, it’ll be more than just the world’s fastest enduro racers we’ll be gawping at, but also the rad bikes they’ll be riding. First enduro whip to show its face is this beauty, which if I may say is probably the raddest looking Lapierre I’ve seen for a while. Aside from the smothering of BlackBox Sram parts and the gloss black and cyan paint-job, it’s the extra inch and a half in the wheel department that truly makes this Spicy stand out…

Spicy Team 27.5 … En route for Punta Ala !

The first round of the Enduro World Series at Punta Ala offers a teaser of what to expect from Lapierre in 2014. Nico Vouilloz will be using his new steed for the first time : the Spicy Team.

A honed race machine specced to perfection : e:i shock with the new Monarch Relay, the new 160mm Pike, straight out of the BlackBox programme, SRAM XX1 groupset, new SRAM wheels… in 27.5 !
This bike gives a little taster of the Lapierre 2014 range… Like all Enduro racers, Nico Vouilloz is impatient to attack the Enduro World Series. He will be joined by the Team Lapierre Gravity Republic riders (Loic Bruni, Sam Blenkinsop, Emmeline Ragot), who are taking part as a preparation for the coming DH season!

Enduro has got to be the “industries” most viable tool to get us all on these big 27.5″ wheels and it will be interesting to see who’s on them and how they get on against other top riders on 26″ and 29″? It’s also worth pointing out that the Schwalbe’s look especially fresh in more ways than one…
