In the mood for some flat out race action? Well your in luck here as Jake Lucas has smashed it with this edit for the Roost Mag covering this past week ends action from the Aussie national champs – “What a day, after four days of fairly consistent dry weather the heavens opened up on race day, sections that were once inches deep in dust were now slick and fast running. Bets were laid on and changed all over again as weather became the deciding factor.

There was a major upset in U19’s women with Kellie Wienert taking the win from Gemma Greentree with Danni Beecroft in third as she and Tegan Molloy both battled to save their race runs after flatting out in the start of their runs. In U19’s Dean Lucas took the win much to his own surprise from Thomas Crimmins and Aiden Varley.
In Elite Women, Tracey Hannah surprised herself edging out local Caroline Buchanan for the Australian title, Lisa Mathison fell into third.

In Elite Men it was a brother sister double act and another win for the new Polygon team, with Mick Hannah muscling the field to take the win almost two seconds up on Jared Graves in second. Sam Hill rallied for third which could possibly be his best result on a track he notably dislikes.
