When your picking up new team sponsors, it helps if one of them is an actual riding destination – “SCOTT11 has joined forces with the world renowned Swiss alpine destination forming the new DH team “GSTAAD-SCOTT” for the next three DH seasons and is very proud to team up with the highly recognized alpine destination of Gstaad Saanenland. The team from now on will be named GSTAAD-SCOTT. Gstaad’s commitment to developing an entirely new bike destination concept makes this partnership even more exciting.

This partnership is not just a coincidence, but a well thought out puzzle: SCOTT as the leading bike brand with exactly the right products to fit into the existing bike concept of Gstaad Saanenland Tourism is a natural fit. Additionally, the network behind SCOTT with Sébastien Giraldi, Ben Walker and Velosolutions will bring in a lot of experience in trail building and bike park management. GSTAAD-SCOTT continues to attack in the downhill world cup with its athletes Brendan Fairclough, Emilie Siegenthaler, Noel Niederberger, Floriane Pugin and 4X riders Adrian Weiss and Mirco Weiss. French youngster Patrick Thome has just teamed up with the squad. Former downhill pro Cyril Langeau, who was a team mate of manager Claudio Caluori back in 2002, is also joining the team as sportive director.

Same as it was for SCOTT11, it is one of GSTAAD-SCOTT’s principles to promote young riders in Switzerland. Therefore, we are happy to announce that the support of Gstaad Saanenland allows us to have a development team with Felix Klee, Pascal Tinner, Dominic Tinner, Manuel Marty and Tim Kälin under the same roof. GSTAAD-SCOTT keeps pushing the limits with its long time sponsors DT Swiss, Schwalbe, SHIMANO, FOX Racing Shox, Syncros and e*thirteen chain guides. Big thanks to the continuous support of AWEKA AG.
