Crankworx Announces Global Partnership with Fox Head

WHISTLER, BC – February 4, 2013 – Crankworx Whistler and Crankworx Les 2 Alpes are proud to announce their new global partnership with clothing and protection brand Fox Head. 2013 marks the 10thAnniversary of Crankworx Whistler and the new partnership with Fox Head as the merchandise provider for Crankworx Whistler and Les 2 Alpes will bring a fresh new look and feel to the event including Merchandise at Crankworx Les 2 Alpes and Whistler with Title Sponsoship for Crankworx Whistler Air Downhill in 2013.

The global partnership does not just stop at the merchandise, however, as Fox Head will also be the title sponsor for the Fox Air Downhill in Whistler, one of the most exciting and longest standing events at Crankworx. Fox Head, their athletes and official Crankworx merchandise will be at Crankworx in Les 2 Alpes July 6-14 and in Whistler for Crankworx’s 10th Anniversary August 9-18, 2013.

“Fox Head has always had a strong and successful presence at Crankworx thanks to their incredible athlete roster and we couldn’t be happier to team up with them,” says Darren Kinnaird, General Manager of Crankworx. “Steve Smith dominated the downhill events at Crankworx Whistler in 2012 and took home the King of Crankworx crown, Cam McCaul finished third at Red Bull Joyride and Tyler McCaul won the Whip Off Worlds. With such great athletes and brand ambassadors, Fox Head is a perfect fit for our events.”

Crankworx Les 2 Alpes will take place July 6-14, 2013 and is the only Crankworx event to take place outside of North America. This event is presented in partnership with then tourist office of Les 2 Alpes and Ayton Concept of France. Crankworx Whistler will host its tenth anniversary and take place August 9-18, 2013. While nine years of awe, next level action and epic moments are a tough act to follow, next year’s event will deliver a celebration worthy of the world class athletes who support the competition year after year. Crankworx Whistler is presented by Whistler Blackcomb and the Whistler Mountain Bike Park.
