Minnaar and Morgane take Gold in Leogang!

The 2012 UCI World Championships are officially in the history books. After an action packed afternoon that was almost a wash out with temperamental weather conditions that today surprised a lot of us with blistering sunshine and a quickly drying course. The elite men’s race is always the centre of attention and this race was no different with an unfortunate slip for Josh Bryceland and a mechanical for favourite Aaron Gwin, but the mighty ‘Min’ did what he does best and took the rainbows with Gee in second and FJ fave, Stevie Smith rounding out the top three. In the women’s, all eyes were on the usual crowd, but French new girl on the scene, Morgane Charre took her first UCI win and the rainbows to boot!
