This stunning geometric property was designed by American firm Skylab Architecture and looks like the perfect abode for the discerning outdoor enthusiast looking for a home in stunning Oregon – “The recently completed ‘Skyline Residence,’ is a 3,300 square-foot home on a steep site overlooking the Willamette Valley and Oregon coast range. Sitting on a poured-in-place concrete plinth, two black masses rest on top of each other, perpendicular to one another with full height glazing oriented west towards the natural landscape. the private spaces are located in the upper level within a timber frame construction, while a steel assembly supports the core of the house on the first level where the maple-floored kitchen is the focal point of the public functions. stormwater is channeled to the planters before returning to the grid, reducing the cost of irrigation.”
