From the Sidelines – Fort William in Photos

June 11th, 2012

By Factory Jackson in Features

With so much happening at any one time, it’s hard to be every where at once with the fear of missing any of the action and drama unfolding around you. Fort William is a special venue for the World Cup series and a venue that holds a special place within the sport of mountain biking as a whole. With 30,000 pre-sold tickets for Sunday’s big show, the mountain side quickly swelled with fans, many of which traveling long distances, enduring the ever changing and sometimes cruel Scottish weather, not to mention the evil midge swarming in their thousands and looking for every available opportunity to bite you. It’s this hardcore and loyal fan base that makes this stop on the world cup so special and one that we hope remains on the circuit for years to come.

We watched the day unfold from the sidelines and took in what happened before us and enjoyed every last minute of it. Here’s the first of two photo articles from Nathan Carvell, taken from the sideline and from the fans perspective.
