Nukeproof Mega Bike Check with Nigel Page

A closer look at the all-mountain machine – Nukeproof’s Mega is one of the most eagerly-anticipated all-mountain bikes of 2011, promising a combination of great downhill handling and sorted climbing capability.

Built for tackling enduro-style downhill events and general all-mountain terrain, the Mega offers 150mm rear travel, designed to be run with a 160mm fork up front. We asked Nukeproof Brand Ambassador Nigel Page to take you through the setup of the bike, and give you feedback on how it performs on the trails.

As Nigel says, it’s a versatile beast: “I’ve been using this bike all winter for XC, short downhill runs, jumping in the woods. It’s a really good bike for everything. It pedals up hills amazing for a 150mm bike. That was the biggest thing I was amazed at on the bike. And if you want to set it up a little bit softer for downhill runs, it sits into the travel nicely and slackens the front end out a little bit more.”
