O’Neal Promo Day, Foel Gas Nach

March 31st, 2011

By Factory Jackson in Features

Every year O’Neal gather dealers and riders together from across the UK for a day of uplift assisted DH action, and this year was no different with a massive turn out of eager riders, shredding the tracks at Foel Gas Nach in North Wales. With 4 tracks on offer there was plenty to keep everyone entertained, not too mention the O’Neal swag that was up for grabs and the free uplift. The tracks at Foel Gas Nach go from steep to very steep and from technical to very technical and definitely the location you want to hit up, if you want to improve your skills.

Fli Distribution and O’Neal Europe’s Colin Williams showing that you don’t always need a DH bike to have fun – just the skills learned from years of DH racing!

All aboard – Tristan Mayer from O’Neal oversees the uplift ‘rabble’ on their way back to the top for more!

Mr “Gas to Flat”, O’Neal pro and Factory Jackson blogger, Adam Brayton made the trip down from Cumbria to school everyone on riding steep, technical tracks.

The O’Neal Mayhem race kit is proving pretty popular with the racers with a great cut for mountain biking and some wild designs to catch the photographers attention.

If you want to see more of Adam doing his thing and getting wild on his Banshee, check the video out from earlier in the year!

Bike shop owner, race team manager and DHer, Pete from Pete Yates Cycles, on course.

Pete Yates Cycles team rider Russ Groves pinned on the Rocky Mountain Flatline – bright kit gets you noticed!

Ellsworth/ O’Neal rider Christian Harrison negotiating one of the steeper corners and representing all day – unfortunately team mate Jack Reading was absent, resting up with a wrist injury and took the week end off to recuperate. Heeling vibes and we all hope Jack’s feeling better for Moelfre.

Local pinner, George from Bike Works destroyed the course all day long winning the ‘huck’ contest later that afternoon and some sweet new O’Neal gear too.

A small selection of gear on offer from O’Neal in 2011 – they’ll have you covered head to toe in protection and apparel and looking good too!

All in all a great day out and a massive thanks to Colin and Tristan from O’Neal, all the guys at Fli Distribution, Sam Davies for capturing the day and everyone who made it out, see you next year.
